Featured Classifications

Enabling the Featured Activity Ticker

  1. Go to: Configuration, then click on “Public Volunteer Page Settings” found in the sidebar under Recruitment

  2. Scroll down to the “Activity Ticker Settings” section

  3. Check the box to show the Featured Activity Ticker control on your public home page

  4. Optional: check the box to include your General Interests on the Featured Activity Ticker

  5. Optional: enter a custom header text to display on the Featured Activity Ticker

  6. Click the [Save General Settings] button

Note: The Featured Activity Ticker will randomly pick Activities set to “Visible to public” that contain one or more Classifications that you have marked as “Featured”. Activities must also be active and have current shifts (if seasonal or scheduled).

Creating Featured Classifications

  1. Go to: Configuration, then click on “Classifications” found in the sidebar under Profile Customization

  2. Create (or edit) a Classification and check the “Featured” box

  3. Click the [Save] button

Repeat this for other Classifications, as appropriate

Note: You can now associate your featured Classification(s) with an Activity at the organization level.

Associating a Featured Classification with an Activity

  1. At the Organization level: Go to Configuration, then click on “Manage Activities” found in the sidebar under Activities

  2. For long activity lists, use the filters in the top panel and click the green [Filter Activities] button

  3. Mouse over the Options icon beside the Activity

  4. Click on “Edit”

  5. In the Classifications section, select one (or more) of the featured Classifications.

  6. Click the [Save] button

Associating a Featured Classification with a General Interest

  1. At the Organization level: Go to Configuration, then click on “General Interests” found in the sidebar under Recruitment.

  2. Mouse over the Options icon beside the General Interest

  3. Click on “Edit”

  4. In the Classifications section, select one (or more) of the featured Classifications.

  5. Click the [Save] button
