Classifications and How They Are Used as an Enterprise
Updated over a month ago

About this feature: Classifications can be used to provide more information for your General Interests and Activities in your organizations to enable users to search for opportunities using a variety of criteria (see Classification types below). Classifications can also appear on your organizations application form(s) enabling administrators to search for users with specific classification values.

Types of Classifications

  • Activity Type: the type of work or sector associated with an Activity, such as animal care, artistic, trades, office, etc.

  • Suitability: who an Activity would be suitable for, such as seniors, youths, adults, groups, families, and those near or on a bus route

  • Time Commitment: how much time is expected or required for an Activity (a few hours a day/week/month/year or whenever time permits)

  • Duration Commitment: suggested length of the commitment (flexible, 1 day, 1 to 3 months, over 2 years, etc.) for an Activity

  • Focus: the type of work your organization does (medical, education, animal care, etc.)

  • Region: the communities, neighbourhoods or areas of your city your organization serves
