About this feature: Outlined here are some additional settings and features that you may choose to apply to your survey.

Survey Settings

Start by selecting the Survey Settings button along the top ribbon of the Survey Designer. As you select different elements within the Designer tab (a survey page, question or title), the settings panel will change to display the customizable options for that element.

General Settings

  • Title

  • Description

    • Make the title and description visible

  • Survey Language

    • The selection made here would only affect the standardize message found within the survey feature

      • English (default)

      • Español

      • Français

      • Português

Navigation

  • Show/hide navigation button

    • Select the visibility and location of navigation button

  • Select to show “previous page” button

  • Progress bar alignment

    • Set the visibility and location of the progress bar

  • Table of Contents

    • Set the visibility and location of the Table of Contents

  • Review before submit

    • Select how the user is prompted to review their answers

  • “Edit Answer” button text

  • “Previous Page” button text

  • “Next Page” button text

  • “Complete Survey” button text

Question Settings

  • Order

    • Original or random

  • Question title alignment

  • Question description alignment

  • Question numbering

  • Error message alignment

Pages

  • Page Order

  • Drag and drop from displayed list to reorder pages

  • Show page titles

  • Show page numbers

“Thank You” page

  • Show “Thank You” page

  • “Thank You” page markup


Question Settings

To access the advanced settings for your questions. First select a question and then select the Show panel icon. Below is a comprehensive list of settings.

General Questions Settings

  • Question name – a question ID that is not visible to users

  • Question title – the question that is displayed to users

  • Question description

  • Required – if selected the question is required

  • For Single-Line Input Range, set the max, min and Step

  • Placeholder text within input field

Choice Options (depending on type of question selected)

  • Edit your Choice Values and Text

    • Text is what is displayed to the user

    • Value is the internal value that you assign that response

  • Copy choice from the following question

    • The choices that are displayed for this question will be dependent on the user’s selections for a previous question

      • Choose to display all choices, only those the user selected choices or choices left un-selected by the user

  • Wrap choices

    • Long texts in choice options will automatically generate line breaks to fit within the drop-down menu. Unselect if you want the texts to clip.

  • Enable the “Other” Option

    • Rename the “Other” option

    • Placeholder text for the comment box

Check Box Fields

  • Minimum choice to select (check box fields only)

  • Enable “Select All” Option - (check box fields only)

  • Maximum choices to select (check box fields only)

Radio Button Group

  • Enable “Clear” Option – (Radio Button Group only)

Rating Values

  • Display Mode

    • Auto, Buttons, Dropdown

  • Rating Icon

    • Labels, Stars, Smileys

  • Rating Count

    • Number of items to rank

  • Rating Configuration

    • Auto-generate, Manual

  • Minimum Rating Value

  • Maximum Rating Value

  • Step Value

Layout

  • Move the question to page – select page

Data

  • Set default answer

Validation

  • Error message for required questions or invalid inputs

  • Maximum character limit
