Collect more information from your Volunteers, Donors, Clients and Members with the new Survey feature!
Surveys in Better Impact are completely customizable and can be anonymous or linked to a user’s profile. Surveys can be shared via a link and users will need to log into MyImpactPage.com to access it. We’ve also added a response visualizer to effortlessly create graphics using the data that has been collected. Visualizations include word clouds, graphs and more! If you need to export the data out of Better Impact, it takes just a few clicks.
The ability to customize Surveys allows for a variety of applications and uses. Here are a few examples we’ve thought of:
Volunteer Satisfaction and Feedback Survey
Volunteer Exit Survey
Collection of Diversity and Equity information (if anonymous, is not tied to a specific profile)
RSVPs for events, dietary restrictions
Collection of weekly meal selection from clients
Post event surveys
Collection of information at time of sign up for an activity
Customizable elements include:
Choosing if users can fill the survey out once or multiple times
Setting an end date or leaving it open
Various question formats which include:
Single-line input
Long Text
Drop-down
Check boxes (multiple select)
Radio Button select
Rating scale (stars, smiley faces or customized labels)
Ranking
Yes/No

Signed Document Custom Fields (Waivers)
Say goodbye to downloading and re-uploading signed documents! The Signed Document Custom Field type allows administrators to upload a document and indicate where users are required to provide an e-signature or additional information. This feature functions like a fillable PDF but users will not be required to download the document or to have a specific program on their device to complete it. Users will be able to sign the document wherever they are updating custom field such as on an application or through MyImpactPage.
Administrators are not able to complete the document on behalf of a user.
This custom field type will be a great option for any documents that require an e-signature such as

Media Releases
Administrator Calendar Subscriptions
Volunteer Impact administrators can now set up calendar subscriptions to copy their activity schedules into an external calendar. This can be done for
all activities
a single category
a single activity
Multiple subscriptions can be created in the account so that each administrator can customize their own. Please note that this does not include assignment information, only the date, time and activity and category name. See this article to learn more.
Folders for Email Templates
Keep all your email templates organized with folders! Folders will make it easier for administrators to manage and find email templates. When composing an email and selecting from your list of templates, you can now type to search for the desired template. Click here to learn more.
Volunteer Anniversary Message
Similar to the Birthday Message feature, the Volunteer Anniversary message can be customized and configured to display on a volunteer’s profile on their anniversary. This includes MyImpactPage, the MyImpact App and the timeclock. Click here to learn more.

Menu Updates
'Logging' (Hours and Connections), and 'Training' will be found in the main menu
'Files' has been moved to the 'My Profile' menu
The 'Theme' page has been renamed to 'Preferences'. Font size settings can be adjusted here,
This selection will only be applied to the device where the setting was selected
Schedule Classifications will display when a volunteer is viewing an opportunity on the MyImpact App
Enhancements made to the Additional Info page to allow for collapsible headings
If a user changes their Region (language) they will be prompted to refresh their page
Other Updates
Updates to Hours and Feedback raw data reports
Additional client field related fields have been added to hours and feedback raw data reports. These fields include
Activity Client Database User Id
First Name
Last Name
Username
Username and EntryType fields moved to the Basic Info section within the Columns to Include section
“Set Up File Exchange” has been renamed as “Secure File Exchange”
Line Height – Rich text boxes now allow for the line height to be adjusted to allow administrators compose more accessible content. This addition allows administrators more control over the spacing in their paragraph content.
Usernames will now display on the User Dashboard
We’ve added background toggle buttons to more places, making it easier to use dark mode
“Select All” option now available after loading a pinned search allowing you to select or de-select profiles manually
When creating or editing an activity, a message with display when “if qualified” is selected on the Visibility and Automation tab, but no qualifications have been selected on the Qualification tab
The [Donate Now] button will not display on the public page if the donation settings of the account are not configured
Improved layout on donation receipts to allow for more flexibility in the signature space
API alternate date-time parameter format is now supported
Qualification and Background date expiry date filtering - bug fixed
When "will expire between" was selected as the Expiry Date - Match Type, those with an expiry date on the first date in the range were not being included
Email history and email templates will now list the number of attachments, name of attached files(s) and file size(s)
Limited admin role permissions added for Surveys, Calendar Subscriptions and Volunteer Anniversary Messages - make sure to update your limited admin roles if your colleagues need access to these new features!
