Using Qualifications to Identify Roles
Updated over 3 weeks ago

👀 Qualifications aren’t just for tracking requirements and training; they are also great for tracking volunteer roles. By setting up a Qualification for each role, you can easily see who is currently in training for or officially placed in one or more positions.

👉 Example: A theater may set up one qualification for each of the following roles and locations to help identify where that volunteer is placed. A volunteer would be labeled with the levels listed below as they train for each role:

Usher:

  • In Training

  • Yes

Ticket Taker:

  • In Training

  • Yes

Theater 1:

  • Yes

Theater 2:

  • Yes

👉 How this helps:

  • Email: An administrator only needs to select one criteria, the “Ticket Taker” Qualification, to send an email to all eligible volunteers for that role.

  • Reminders: It is simple to track who is currently “in training” for Ticket Taker but has not yet signed up for a training shift.

  • Activities: It is possible to qualify someone for role-specific activities using only one Qualification (or two if location is relevant).
