Ranked Qualifications
Updated over 2 months ago

👀 How do you use a ranked Qualification? A Ranked Qualification differs from an ‘Exact Match’ qualification in that it allows you to use a single Qualification to customize access to a position’s different activities based on the volunteer’s level of experience, age range, or other reasons.

👉 Ranking Levels:

  • Qualifications are always in a dropdown box format

  • When setting up a Ranked Qualification, items are listed from least experience/ lowest level to most experience/highest level in the dropdown

👉 Example: Dog Walkers: At many animal shelters, dog walking volunteers are ranked based on experience and/or level of difficulty they can handle. When signing up to walk dogs, they will sign up for activities that represent dogs of different difficulties.

With a ranked qualification, the list of activities will only show the dogs appropriate for each volunteer’s level.

Volunteer Profile: This profile is being set to Orange which will give the volunteer access to Orange, Yellow and Green dogs but not Red (the highest/most difficult level).

Activities: Each activity is set to the appropriate level in the Qualifications tab. The dog “Luna” is an Orange level, so it states that volunteers must have “at least” the Orange level to see this activity.

That means that any volunteers with Red level would also be able to see and sign up to walk Luna but Green and Yellow volunteers would NOT be able to, and they are not Qualified to handle that level dog.

Volunteer Experience: This volunteer is set to Orange level. We can see on MyImpactPage that this volunteer can sign up for Green, Yellow, and Orange dogs but there are no Red dogs visible.
