In many places throughout the software lists will automatically be sorted alphabetically. If there is not a blue button to the right that allows you to drag the listed items into your preferred order, you can use the following to force the order you would prefer.
Special characters, for example ‘! @ #’ to ensure an item is always at the top of a list.
Letters of the alphabet to ensure the order of items follow alphabetically, for example A - Z.
Numerical digits to ensure the order of items follow numerically, for example 01 - 10.
Tip
If you opt for numerical order, and have more than 9 items in your list, you will want to start your numbering with 01., 02., 03., etc.
