Drag and Drop
You can copy and paste directly from a Word document. This will work for text as well as images.
You can also drag and drop photos directly from your hard drive or other storage device into a Rich Text Box field. This will also upload that image to your File Manager for use in other Rich Text Box fields.
Insert an Image
- Edit any Rich Text Box Field
- From the “Insert” menu, select “Image”
- Click on the File Manager icon to the right of the Source field
- Check the box below the desired image or table and click “Insert”
- Optional: Enter an “Alternative description”
- Optional: Click the lock icon the to edit dimensions
- To ensure image displays properly on smaller screens, like mobile phones, enter 100% (including the percentage symbol) in both the “Height” and “Width” fields.
- Click the lock icon again to set the new dimensions
- Click the [Save] button to insert the image into the Rich Text Box field
Insert a Link to a File
- Edit any Text Box field
- Optional: Highlight the text you wish to link to the file
- From the “Insert” menu, select “Link”
- Click on the File Manager icon to the right of the URL field
- Check the box to the left of the file you would like to use
- Click the [Insert] button
- Edit (or enter) the “Text to display” in the Text Box
- Title: enter text to display to volunteers when they mouse over the link
- Open link in: Select “Current window” or “New window”
- Class (non-email rich text option): Select “Normal Link” or “File Viewer”
- Click the [Save] button to insert the image into the Text Box
Insert a Link to a Website / URL
- Edit any Rich Text Box field
- Optional: Highlight the text you wish to link to the file
- From the “Insert” menu, select “Link”
- Enter the URL for the website you wish to link to
- Edit (or enter) the “Text to display” in the Rich Text Box
- Title: enter text to display to volunteers when they mouse over the link
- Open link in: Select “Current window” or “New window”
- Click the [Save] button to insert the link into the Rich Text Box
