Hours Logging Permissions

Organizational Default Hours Logging Permissions 

  1. Go to: Configuration, then click on “Hours and Timeclock Settings” found in the sidebar under Activities 
  1. Set the desired options for logging hours in the organization: 
    • Allow volunteers to see their recorded feedback fields: you can choose to let your volunteers view the information they have entered 
    • Prevent volunteers from logging hours in the future: restricts volunteers to logging hours for the current date or a date in the past  
    • Default Log Hours Permission: logging hours permissions from MyImpactPage.com (cannot log hours, can log hours with approval, can log hours without approval) 
    • Default Date for New Volunteer Timelog Entries: Select whether the date field will be blank or populated with today’s date when volunteers log their hours  
    • Default Timeclock Permission: timeclock permission for timeclocks on a computer, or mobile phone, if permitted (cannot log hours, can log hours with approval, can log hours without approval)
    • Enable volunteer mobile timeclock lets volunteers start a timeclock on their mobile device when they go to MyImpactPage.mobi 
    • Enable volunteer express timeclock lets volunteers start a timeclock by showing a QR code or just entering their username when they visit your Express Timeclock link 
  1. Click the [Save] button 

Individual Hours Logging Permissions 

You can have a volunteer follow a rule that is different than the one set in Organizational Default Permissions: 

  1. Click the person icon at the top of the screen and type the person’s name into the Quick Search bar. 
  1. Click on the volunteer’s name when it appears in the list 
  1. In the “Main” tab, click on the “Miscellaneous” section and select “Volunteer” 
  1. Set the desired “Log Hours Permission” and/or “Timeclock Permission” for the volunteer 
  1. Click the [Save] button
