Add New Custom Field

About this feature: Customs Fields enable information, that is not necessarily a pre-requisite or essential skill to perform an activity, to be associated with a profile (ex. Emergency Contact Information, t-shirt size, etc.). Files can also be uploaded to a profile using Custom Fields.

IMPORTANT: Under most circumstances we recommend that all Custom Fields be created at the Enterprise level. There are many advantages to this practice, including, only needing to setup and maintain the fields in one place, eliminating the chances for duplicate fields, and streamlining reporting. Therefore, the default permission settings on all new Enterprise accounts are set to disable their creation at the sub-account level. If you are a Full Enterprise administrator, and have any questions about the permission settings on your account, please connect with our Support team using the chat icon at the bottom right corner of your admin home page.

Note: When creating Custom Fields at the Enterprise level you can select whether the Custom Field will be “Visible to all organizations” in your enterprise or only “Visible to selected organizations”, which will then enable you to select the specific organizations. If you add more Organizations to your Enterprise, the Custom Field will automatically be visible to the new Organizations if you choose “Visible to all organizations”. If you choose “Visible to selected organizations”, you will need to edit the Custom Field and manually make it visible to any new Organizations.
