Dynamic Dates

About this feature: Certain kinds of searches and reports are based on a time frame. Dynamic dates is a tool that allows administrators to save date specific searches. This removes the need for administrators to add new date search criteria each time the search is run.

Begin by starting a basic search, selecting the desired modules/statuses to include, followed by the group and communications filters (optional). When you add a search criterion that includes a date value:

  1. To the right of the date field, click the [Change to Dynamic Date] button.

    • If you wish to switch back to entering a date directly, click the [Change to Date] button.

  2. Click in the date field box to trigger the pop-up box

  3. Select the desired type of dynamic date search:

    • Basic:

      • Select a dynamic date choice from the dropdown list (see below)

    • Advanced:

      • Enter a number increment

      • Select an increment type from the dropdown list

        • Day(s)

        • Week(s)

        • Month(s)

        • Quarter(s)

        • Year(s)

      • Select “Before” or “After” from the dropdown list

      • Select a dynamic date choice (“anchor” date) from the dropdown list (see below)

    • As you compose your search, a hint will show you the exact date that currently corresponds to the selections you have made

  4. Click the [Set] button

  5. Continue adding criteria and/or run your search

Dynamic Date choices:

  • The Current Day

  • The Start of the Current Week

  • The End of the Current Week

  • The Start of the Current Month

  • The End of the Current Month

  • The Start of the Current Quarter

  • The End of the Current Quarter

  • The Start of the Current Year

  • The End of the Current Year
