How to send a text to one user or multiple

Send a Text Message to One User

  1. Click the person icon at the top of the screen and type the person’s name into the Quick Search bar.

  2. Click on the person’s name from the list that appears.

  3. Click on the “Communications” tab

  4. Click on the “Send Text Message” subtab

  5. Enter the text of the message (there is a maximum 157 characters permitted in a text message)

  6. Select the desired Modules associated with this message. Only administrators of the selected modules will be able to see this text message in the history.

    • For example: If you select only Volunteer, only administrators of the Volunteer module will be able to see this text.

  7. Optional: Check “Send me a copy of this message” to have a copy of the text message sent to the email address associated with your profile

    • Optional: Check “Include recipient list in my copy”

  8. Click the [Send Text Message] button

Send a Text Message to Multiple Users

  1. Go to Communicate, then click on “Send Text Message” found in the sidebar under Text Messaging

  2. Search for the desired profiles

  3. Enter the text of the message (there is a maximum 157 characters permitted in a text message)

  4. Select the desired Modules associated with this message. Only administrators of the selected modules will be able to see this text message in the history.

    • For example: If you select only Volunteer, only administrators of the Volunteer module will be able to see this text.

  5. Optional: Check “Send me a copy of this message” to have a copy of the text message sent to the email address associated with your profile

  6. Optional: Check “Include recipient list in my copy”

  7. Click the [Send Text Message] button
