Why won’t the QR codes scan properly?
Why won’t the QR codes scan properly?
Updated over a month ago

There are 4 main reasons the QR codes may not be scanning properly even if everything is setup properly on your device and the browser is up-to-date:

  1. The QR code is too small.

  2. The QR code is too blurry; this is especially common if the codes have been printed instead of downloaded.

  3. The QR code is being read by the camera backwards. Volunteers have the option to select the “Mirror” option on the Express Timeclock page to overcome this challenge and improve readability.

  4. If the username has an abundance of symbols (*&# etc) this does not always translate well to a QR code. If you feel this may be the case for your volunteer, please adjust the username.
