Learn how to adjust the birthday, anniversary and qualification alerts that appear on your Status Update widget.

About this feature: Birthday, Qualification and Anniversary Alerts appear in the Status Update section of an administrator's home page. These alerts have customizable settings that can be updated using the instructions below.

To adjust your alerts, Navigate through Configuration >> Alert Settings.

Tip: For Enterprise users, alert settings can be customized at both the Enterprise and Sub account level. The selections you make are specific to the account you make those changes in.

Birthday Alerts

  1. In the General Alerts section, go to the “Birthday Alerts”

  2. Check the box if you only want people with a status of “Accepted” to be included in the birthday alert list

  3. Enter the number of days prior to a person’s birthday that you would like them to appear on the list

  4. Click the [Save] button

Note: The automated Birthday features are calculated from the birthdates provided in the Contact Information section of the profiles. The software will only be able to utilize information that has been entered into this field.

Qualification Alerts

  1. In the Volunteer Alerts section, go to the “Qualification Alerts”

  2. Check the box if you only want volunteers with a status of “Accepted” to be included in the expired/expiring qualifications lists

  3. Enter the number of days prior to the expiration of a qualification that you would like them to appear on the list

  4. Click the [Save] button

Anniversary Alerts

  1. In the Volunteer Alerts section, go to the “Anniversary Alerts”

  2. Check the box if you only want volunteers with a status of “Accepted” to be included in the anniversary alert list

  3. Enter the number of days prior to a volunteer’s anniversary that you would like them to appear on the list

  4. Click the [Save] button

Configure Background Check Alerts

For those with a Sterling Volunteers integration.

  1. For Organizations, go to: Configuration, then click on “Alert Settings” found in the sidebar under Organization Settings

    • For Enterprises, go to: Configuration, then click on “Alert Settings” found in the sidebar under Enterprise Settings

  2. In the “Background Check Alerts” section, select the desired options:

    • Check the box “Only included Accepted Volunteers in the expired / expiring background check lists and alerts.”, if desired

    • Set the “Number of days to look ahead for expiring background checks
