👀 There are 3 ways to send a document via email – but how do you choose? Here are the benefits of each option.

👉 Email Attachment from your computer: This works like any traditional attachment. If you want your document to be received as an attachment, and its size is less than 10MB, this is a good option.
👉 Email attachment from the Document Library: When attached or sent as a link, recipients will need to log into the software to view these documents, so they should be shared with that in mind.
These documents can also be available in the Files section on the volunteer’s My Impact Page. This is a great place for volunteer handbooks, educational materials, policy references, and other program-specific material.
👉 File Manager: Using the File Manager, a file can be sent as a link. The document will open for the recipient in their browser and can also be downloaded. This is ideal for forms, files larger than 10MB, newsletters, or other documents that do not contain sensitive information (as technically the file will be visible to anyone with the link).

🤩 TIP: you can use the File manager to link to documents in any rich text box! They are found in custom field descriptions, activity descriptions, the news, and many other areas.
