About this feature: Saving a search can be a useful way to save criteria that are used frequently. There is not a limit to the number of searches an administrator may save.
Pinning a search can help administrators quickly run a saved search from their homepage.
IMPORTANT: Saved searches are unique to the administrator and the feature in which it is created. Your saved searches are not available to other administrators or in other menu options.
Save a Search
Run a search in any place where the search feature is available (i.e. Communicate >> Send Email; People >> Search, etc.)
Set search parameters
Click the [Save] button
Name the search (200 characters maximum)
Optional: “Pin” this search so that it can be run easily from your Home page at any time
Click the [Save] button
Running a Saved Search
From any page where the Saved Search feature is available
Select a saved search from the dropdown list
Click the [Load] button
Optional: Add or change search criteria
Click the [Search] button
Pin/Unpin a Saved Search
About this feature: Pinning a search can help administrators quickly run a saved search from their homepage.
Pinning/Unpinning a search determines its availability on your admin homepage, but you will still be able to run the search.
Tip: Pinning a search can also be done when saving the search. While unpinning a search is also possible from your homepage.
Go to the feature where you have previously saved a search
Click the [Manage Saved Searches] button at the top
Mouse over the Options icon to the left of the name
Select “Pin Search” (or “Unpin Search”)
Click the [Close] button
Running a Pinned Search
Go to Home, by clicking on the house icon at the top of your admin page
In the “Pinned Search” section on the right, click on the name of the desired Pinned Search. (Pinned searches are listed alphabetically)
You will be taken to the screen associated with the search you wish to complete and the associated saved search will be performed.
Tip: Mousing over the Options icon to the left of the name of a pinned search, and selecting ”View”, will enable you to see the filters and criteria of the saved searches.
